Sometimes in life there are things you think you’ll never do or you need some special skills to be able to do, however its interesting to know that when faced with an opportunity in a life time it is only the determined ones that make history, not so much of the skill is required afterall.
I climbed to the foot of the stellenboch mountain in Cape town South Africa today. It is situated behind Mont fluer in Blaauklippen valley, and opposite the Stellenboch mountain is the Helderberg mountain.
Micheal Gallant guided the team(Zukile,Esther, Nkiru, Vivian, Jason and Abdulhamid) on the climb. We got to see the famous protea flower although scarred by a recent bush fire and other medicinal plants and perfume plants. We were also opportuned to watch the sun set, What a glorious moment!
Mountain climbing is not a sport I love to indulge in but this was just a one in a life time experience and well worth it.
Next time an opportunity presents itself, just take it, don’t think!
